One of our TOP 15 BANDS WHO PLAYED A B.O.W. SHOW
in 2010(which is the highest award we've ever given out YET THUS FAR YET!). Bird Names write great songs. That's the
first thing to understand. The second thing to understand
is that these songs exist in some stylistic outer
realm that hints at influences of indie poppers, and
post punks, and krautrockers and a bunch of other
things but rather than taking on any one of those styles,
they have just let them seep in and the magic of
letting their own thing simmer and become infused
with these other things has emerged, and it is Bird Names.
And they come from Athens, GA now and they are a delight on
record and live, and they will just make you feel great
if you take a ride on their songcraft. And lastly they are playing a
B.O.W. Show in February(the 28th) @ Starlab in Union Sq.
and you should come! It's a very small space and it's
going to be very special to see this band there. I
will be posting a streaming version of their record
coming out in March very soon! Keep your eyes n' ears PEELED!
